Day 4- My First Product, Resizing Is Easy, Blogging, And My First MySpace Friend Besides Tom

Today was somewhat successful or should I say a day of progress. Just when I thought that I would never solve my problem of resizing the image to make it bigger, I found the answer on one the discussion boards. Another thing that I found out that if you press F1 that it direct you to a help website. This is probably something that a lot of people know already, but I didn’t. I usually surf through the Help menu.
So with that under my belt I was able to add the image to one of my products. Voila! My first product! Finally. I’m sure that lots of experienced web people take their skills for granted. Since this is a learning experience I am just happy to move on to the next thing. Now all I have to do is learn how to create graphics that have some artistic value, but that will come later. The only missing piece to the puzzle is sitting down and taking the time to add images to the products from the slogans I came up with on Day 2

Blogging

I decided to go through all of the functions that Blogger.com offers and I was able to change some of the settings. I was able to set up things like getting emailed my comments or using my email to blog. Trying to figure out how to tell how many people have read the blog is something that I am going to have to research. I wanted to network through the blogs and get people to start blogging on the project. I am thinking about creating the time to find blogs in my niche and either commenting on them or letting the owner know about my project. I also realized that I should start a new blog that is strictly for interest in my niche. I am not sure how I am going to work the whole thing yet but I already got a head start blogging on Myspace.

Myspace Grants Me a New Friend Besides Tom

Even though I have not set up my marketing campaign yet, I am continually progressing towards building my Myspace page. This page will attract the many proud and pregnant moms and hopefully they decide to become part of my network. Part of my strategy is to get them to view my profile so they can join as my friend. They key is to put relevant information and picturess on the site to catch their attention. Later I will add pictures of my products to my page so that my friends and people looking at my profile will be exposed to my products.

I noticed that there is a feature that you can have a slide show as your default profile picture. There I would be able to display my products every time I leave a comment on someone else’s page. This will probably be done the best if I finally got my digital camera. Since my birthday is next Sunday, I might get one. Hey, I’ve hinted to my husband already.

So far I’ve gotten two friends the way my page is already. I’ve probably only made 5 requests so far and gotten 2 friends. The advantage is having a lot of friends will allow me to post bulletins to them. I’ve already had many of the artists bulletin me to death and a couple of “your next home business opportunity”. I know I will have success offering products that actually relate to my market.

Another thing that I want to do is add Adsense ads to my Myspace page for extra income. So, time will tell how much more I’ll get done as I take tomorrow off to study for the exam I was telling you about.
