Day 3 – TEXTING away and Myspace Rules

I already it’s going to be a great day. Still working off of Day 2, but I was determined to learn how to convert image files. One small victory for me. Now I have to learn how to change it using Adobe Photoshop or another program. That will be the test. Going to bed…(later) Back at it. Another sleep deprived day.

Finally Making Images.

So I figure out the whole Photoshop. But I ran google search for a free alternative and came up with Paint.net. So I was able to actually type with this program. The previous program only let me convert files which is great. But I was looking something that lets me start from scratch. I spent most of my time tinkering with the thing. I was able to download to my store. But the only problem is that it appears tiny. Little words bring big problems. I am really taken aback by this challenge because there is no use of promoting my site if there is no product. I only get the markup. If I make a sale all profit goes to Cafepress right now.

Myspace for Big Bellies

At least I learned what angle I will be taking in my marketing. I have decided to put up a Myspace page just for my niche. So I will be trying add friends to my profile. When they get there I will soft sell them on my products. I posted the Day 1 but it seemed real unintelligent to let them what was going on in my business if they only are here because their hobby.

Setting up my account, I realized that I should change the spelling of the project. I don’t want there to be any confusion about my brand. So I changed into a better spelled and liked name because I found someone already using my name. I don’t know how successful this project will turn out. But I am setting everything up like it will be successful way down the road. Hey, you never know. Myspace a 180 million people on it right now. I definitely should able to tap into that market especially when I’ve seen so many people blatantly are there for business.

The best motivation for me came when I found a profile of a pregnant woman. She had 1020+ friends all baring their bellies. I thought about making friends with this lady but the best I had was to network with HER friends. I could easily each and every person’s profile and request them as my friend. As I write this I thought about going into each person’s profile and sorting through their pregnant. This technique has a lot potential. When I request them to be my friend, they have to look at my profile to see who I am and what I am about. If I could get a robot to do it that would even better but it costs money.

So my intention is to get the looking interactive profile that is interesting enough to “capture” friends. And that’s pretty much all I did in the marketing department.
